Arcimboldi, Seatoun’s community cafe. A place to bring people together to share food, wine and time.
Named after the artist Guiseppe Arcimboldi (pronounced Arch-imm-boldi), a 16th century Mannerist artist, who painted incredible portraits of people made up of fruit, vegetables, plants and sea creatures.
Mannerism, a transitional period from 1520 to 1590 adopted some artistic elements from the High Renaissance and influenced other elements in the Baroque period.
A Mannerist tended to show close relationships between human and nature. Arcimboldi also showed his appreciation of nature through his portraits, in a way that has inspired us to show our appreciation of nature through a natural approach to cooking, and a welcoming natural service style.
We are all about community. Get in touch if you need a venue to host your sports team, book club or coffee group.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
